Currently, our Backpack Program discreetly provides nutritious, child-friendly and easy to prepare food to children in all our district schools. Backpacks are given to students to take home over the weekend and school breaks when school is not in session. We are currently serving approximately 150 students per week and the program funds are running low.

Mr. Pendleton is in his 7th year at Buxton Center Elementary and his 5th as Principal. He spent his prior years in education as a special education teacher and behavior strategist at Sweetser which is a special purpose private school. Mr. Pendleton graduated from University of Maine at Farmington with a secondary education degree. His plan was to be a high school history teacher until he started working at Sweetser and fell in love with special education and went back to school for that certification.

About Us
Bonny Eagle (MSAD 6) is currently the largest school administrative district in the State of Maine and one of the largest school systems in our State. We are located in the southern end of the State of Maine. Our District serves the towns of Buxton, Hollis, Limington, Standish and Frye Island; representing portions of York and Cumberland counties. Geographically, the District covers approximately 182 square miles.
- There are approximately 3,300 students enrolled in the District.
- The District operates the largest public sector bus fleet in Maine.
- Our vehicles travel a total of 5,300 miles each day
- There are six elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school in our District.
- The District has over 700 employees.
